A FEW SAY FOR THE WORSE

Of those who say it’s changed for the worse, a good majority are quick to mention the increased cost of entry. With classic car pricing going bonkers, we understand their gripe. But in the same breath, there’s a cost to be the boss, and sometimes you have to pay to play. On the flip side, the increased cost comes as a result of buyers willing to pay those inflated prices. So what does that mean? It means the market for classic cars and lowriding is going up, and people are willing to spend whatever it takes to get what they want. They have the purchasing power. 

There’s also a lesson to be learned from all this, and that lesson is: If you really want to buy a classic car or lowrider, you’d better get one now because they won’t be getting any cheaper. It’s just the way the world works and comes partly from inflation. The bottom line: Nothing popular ever stayed cheap, so it’s time to catch a budget and break bread.

DOES LOWRIDING NEED MORE CHANGE?  

Probably. Change is good. It’s how we grow as individuals. It’s how we grow as a culture. But that also happens to be a topic best discussed with friends, a few beers, and a bowl of spinach (the aromatic kind). As for us, well, we don’t like discussing things we can’t change. Instead, we like talking about things we can help change, and that’s why we created this site.  

WHY DID WE START THIS? 

We started this site for several reasons. First, we love lowriding. Second, it became an avenue for us to share this incredible culture in a digital format we felt best represented the culture. Now don’t get it twisted. We’re not here to change the culture; we’re just here to change how it’s covered and do it in a format that challenges the stereotypes. In short, we wanted Lowrider Syndicate to be a digital venue where art, culture, and lowriding converge. It’s our way of giving back to the community while sharing some good stories and passing on the rich heritage to the next generation.
