Lowriders. Lowriders. Lowriders.
That’s all we have to say about the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Car Show! It all went down on Sunday, August 5th, and the roll-in was intense. As usual, we showed up during roll-in to avoid the crowds. This allows us to photograph the cars since spectators have yet to arrive, and it’s a good thing we did because the event brought nearly 10,000 people to the historic Olvera Street district.
As soon as we exited the freeway, lines of lowriders wrapped around three blocks as they patiently made their way into the show. Among those in attendance were some of LA’s most popular car clubs, including Diplamtics, High Class, South Side, and La Tijera, to name a few.
The show allowed spectators to soak in the cars in their full glory in what seemed to be an endless sea of custom lowriders. From full show cars to hoppers, OEM+ builds, to full radicals, the event became a traditional showcase of lowriding art and culture, and it did not disappoint.
South Side Car Club brought out a few of their hitters
The show allowed spectators to soak in the full glory of what seemed to be an endless sea of custom lowriders accented by custom cars, and a collection of mini-trucks and lowrider bikes. From full show cars to hoppers, OEM+ builds, to full radicals, the event became a traditional showcase of lowriding art and culture, and it did not disappoint.
Exclusive Motoring, Badwayz Car Club, and Paramount L.A. County presented the family-friendly show from 10 am – 5 pm at Plaza Kiosko. The show also featured performances from Johnny David, Mariah Avila, along with Los Angeles entertainer, and Latin rap pioneer OG Kid Frost.
