With Christmas right around the corner Jay Mendoza and Brian Ortega thought it was only right to host a toy drive to give back to the less fortunate. Along with the Local Hearts Foundation, they partnered up with Norms in the Southbay Pavilion plaza to organize a toy drive and a car show for all ages to enjoy. Being it was a Friday and people were at work and not to mention LA traffic on a weekday, things started off slowly but around 6 o’clock cars began flooding into the parking lots in hordes.
Among the fan favorites were Steve from Rollerz Only (Los Angeles) who came through deep with his showroom classics including a ragtop ‘56, and ‘60 along with his ‘63 and ‘61 wagon. Tweet (Professionals CC) came through hot on the switch in his merlot colored ‘64 Impala along with Fuzzy in his ‘62 Impala. Overall it was a dope turnout with car clubs coming from all around LA to support a good cause. Among the clubs in attendance were Latin Queens, Litostyle, Majestics, Wilmington, Islanders, and Los Angeles. With over 100 cars packing the lot and a mountain of toys I’d say it was a good day.
